Gabriel Janer Manila (born on November 1, 1940 in Algaida, Mallorca, Spain) is a Catalan university professor, translator and prize-winning writer.
A prolific author who has worked in almost every genre, he is well-known across Catalonia and Spain.
His work has been translated into several languages, including German, English, Spanish, Basque and Galician.

==Awards==
He is the winner in 2007 of the Premi Ramon Llull, the most prestigious prize in Catalan literature, for his novel Tigers.〔.〕
In 1998 he was awarded the Cross of Saint George of the Generalitat (Parliament) of Catalonia.
